Are all you PGC supporters deaf ,dumb and blind? Hasn't anyone else compared the size of the head and the rack to the apparent size of the body? doesn't that raise any questions in your mind?
Rack? What rack? Go back and look again.

He's fantsizing over a rack of button nubbins.
He was truthin' when he said it's legs were blown off though.
Legless runt nubbin'sARE an elusive quarry aren't they?.
I think I understand how he saw a rack on that deer. The same way he suddenly "saw" those 6 racks in bow season. The same way he "sees" some of his other facts. He even thinks that my dog makes posts on here

During the 20s and 30s there were only 2 years when antlerless deer were legal,1928 and 1938. Take a close look at the left side of the deers head and you can clearly see a nice antler to the right of the guys trumpet. Then ask yourself what the hunter behind the deer is holding in his hand?

Wrong again.

No rack. Just a trumpet and the trumpet players hand + lots of imagination. It looks like the guymay be holding the right earto hold up the head.

If the trumpet valves count, it could be AR legal statewide;)

Maybe it's just a really big guy holding it

BTB, thanks for the zoom shot. Still think that deer looks funny. Are we SURE it's a PA photo and not a mule deer? Head looks disproportionately large.

Just enough of the ears and just enough of the tail to make the idea of a mule deer a distinct possibility

The picture was in an album that belongs to my wife's cousin.
She wanted to copy some other photos not related to this one.
I happened to see this in the album and thought I would share.
As of right now, I have NO details about the photo, but I will see
if I can get some history ifI talk to him.
Until then, speculate away. It is good fun and can't possibly turn into
a PGC debate. I can't make the connection but it MIGHT be possible.;)

Do you see a button there??
As far as a mule deer, Do they come that small??
Would have to be a newborn, darn near.
