by doing that i would be reducing doe down to 1 or 2 in most areas or more.

good hunter with time or a road hunter 24/7 as i am seeing could get 6 doe in any county,not easy but dewable.

There is absolutuly NO WAY that any amount of "tweaking" can go on until they do. They have no way of knowing how many harvests occur on private or public land. And until they do, they(PGC) are blowing smoke up everybodies arse with the CAC program and the so-called "tweaking" process.

friends of mine that were big DOE HUNTERS ,still are ,are going to other counties like 2B .

they are filling truck with doe but have stopped hunting in my area now.

i dont see them too much in woods now here in WMU2G.

but,now in comes the york, lancaster,harrisburg hunters trying to kill off the few doe that are left even tho they got all kinds of doe where they live.'

If they are seeing enough deer to kill six, there is no shortage of deer where they are hunting. Think about it.

Bob,I don't brag about shooting alot of doe.I'm simply stating a fact that the hunting is not anywhere near as bad as guys claim it is.I also don't have alot of time to hunt.The only vacation day I took to hunt this year was the first day of rifle season.I was busy and couldn't even take a day off in bear season.I hunt saturdays and I may blow off one afternoon every couple of weeks in bow season.I have less time to hunt and scout than the majority of people.In fact,it's a rare saturday that I can hunt the entire day.

This year I killed 4 doe and a buckwhere I live.It's an overpopulated disaster and not nearly enough deer are getting harvested.I do all of my rifle hunting on publicland in 2G.I hunted the first day and first saturdayin Moshannon state forest.I could have killed legal bucks both days but ended up killing one doe.I saw a grand total of four hunters in those two days.I hunted Elk state forest on the last day.I saw another legal buck and harvested one of the eleven doe thatI saw.I didn't see another human or bootprint all day.Last year and the year befor it took me three days each year to kill my dmap tags on public land.Once again,I saw plenty of deer and almost no other hunters.You love to criticize me,yet you've never stepped foot anywhere near these places.If I CAN CONSISTANTLY FIND AND KILL DEER ON PUBLIC LAND,WITH MY VERY LIMITED TIME,ANYONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it.I feel no guilt filling tags in areas that have either poor habitat or habitat that's just starting to recover.If I knew ofplace that had excellent habitat and few deer,I'd lay off the doe.So far,I've yet to see a place like that.

Shoot me your e'mail address and I'll send you a picture of a truck load of bucks taken in 2G on the last thursday of the season.I hear people griping from time to time butmost of the hunters I know that hunt around here aren't crying and complaining like some on hear.Most agree that there's certainly less deer but the guys I hunt with aren't feeling that their hunting experience has diminished.

You only have to see six deer to kill six. Haven't you noticed on these boards, I seem to be the only hunter that ever missed a deer? There is a big difference between seeing multiple deer and harvesting six, than hunting for the full twelve days, seeing six and harvesting six.

I don't care what the hunter shoots on private posted land, it's the one, two and three day hunter that hunts public land, that is my concern. His money for purchasing a license is just as important as the guy that hunts every day. Not only are you losing him at a rapid rate, but don't expect his son or grandson to take up the sport of hunting.

Once we lose a couple hundred thousand hunters, hunting will be good again, but how many hunters are willingto spend a couple hundred dollars to hunt a few days out of the year? Hunter are already complainthat there aren't enough hunters to move the deer. That situation will get worse before it gets better, hunters will have to get out of their treestands and do more leg work.

As I said before I used you and RSB as an example because you brag about shooting deer, guess brag wasn't a good word to use, so I'll change it to remind of the all the deer you see and harvest a few of them.

I really don't care home many deer you shoot on that proerty you DMAP, I also think that BTB hunts private land for doe. As far as I'm concerned private land should all the DMAP's they want, this is where the over population is and will always be. I also don't agree with the 2 DMAPtags per hunter.

If a hunter, farmer or whoever owns a patch of land, it should be that person who determines how many deer should live on that property. Yes thegame belongs to every one in the state, but having them on your property and feeding them is almost like owning them.

The farmer that farms my property once said to me, "I usually see your deer in the morning and evening feeding in your field". I said to him, "I think of those belonging more to you than me, it is you who feeds them, not me".

You re just blowing smoke. Several years our group went six for six when it was one deer/year. One minute you complain about us shooting BB and the next you claim we can't kill deer. Make up your mind if you have one!!!

Anyone can find and kill a deer and enough do so that the 2007 harvest reduced the herd in 2G by 23 %. Would you like more hunters in 2G to fill more of their tags and reduce the herd by another 50%?
