RE: ARs= The Survival of the Weak and Scrawny

Dr. Krol denounced the study done in Mississippi and expressed that his preferred method of AR was a width measurement
Dr. Kroll did not denounce the study done in Miss. ,in fact he didn't even understand the results of the Miss. Study Furthermore, he had no explanation for why 1.5 spikes took so long to equal the racks of 1.5 Y bucks. However, Dr. Kroll's study did prove that the average 1.5 spike was inferior for the rate of antler development as do the vast majority of studies on antler development.

Listen. They are not GENETICALLY inferior in antler development.
That is simply NOT true.

That is not what I said. This is what I said.

Why do you suppose they take longer?

The fact that they are spikes as 1.5 may be due to being a late born fawn. The fact that it takes 3 years for them to catch up to a 1.5 Y buck is due to their genetics for the rate of antler development.

Do you have any evidence to support that claim? You just claimed what you refuted in an earlier post BTW.

Dr. Kroll's study in Tex. and the statewide harvest results from Miss.

Dr Kroll did indeedpoint out several flaws in the Mississippi. When that was documented on these boards before, Bluebutts response was to claim that Dr Kroll was biased.

The claim by blueboy that Dr Krolls study showed 1.5 spikes were inferior for antlerdevelpoment were purely 100% Blueballs spin on the real results and conclusions.

Now in total desperation (what else could it be?) Bluebat points is to a NEWSWEEK article that is so full of holes and so full of anti-hunting bias that even the most uninformed nonhunters could see the holes in it. He expects hunters to accept the garbage in the article as eveidence that the PGC will kill off the herd, rob your house, shoot your dog and kidnap your kids.

We have lots of things to fix in PA. There are many different view points as to how and what needs done, but Mr Bluebooger has nothing but irrational destructive venom to spew and no offer of any solutions.

Wrong again sport. You didn't document anything and Dr. Kroll did not point out any flaws in the Miss. Study, he simply questioned the results. he provided absolutely nothing to show that anything from Miss. was flawed ,because there is no way he could refute statewide harvest data.

I did not make that claim. My statement was that spikes were inferior for the RATE of antler development and that is exactly what Kroll's research showed.
