RE: Gay Buck
A few years ago, during the rut, I watched a large 7 point buck being followed by 2 does. The continued to sniff and get close to him and he was irritated by them. He eventually lowered his head and charged them in an attempt to get them to leave. I was tempted to take the easy 10 yard shot to him, but I knew there were bigger bucks in the area, si I let him live. I often have wondered if he was a little light in the hooves!

I can't hink of the descriptive word but isn't the animal world bi-sexual? Have you ever seen farm or yard animals mount same sex? It would make sense for them controlling food and erd size resources. I dunno it sounds goofy??????????

Can't explain a buck not being interested in receptive doe's but most times when a male animalmounts another male it is a display of dominance. It is seen more in dogs than anything else I have witnessed. That is why it is common for puppies who are incapable of breeding doing it to each other and their owner until they get put in their place enough times. If it was hormonal it would continue to worsen as the pup reaches maturity.

I was with someone once that shot a 3 point doe. We thought it was a buck but it wasn't. That one must of been a lesbian, soI guess some bucks must be gay.. We all teased the one that shot it and kept saying it was just some ***** deer LOL...
