I think the wind killed everyone's hunt in my area. I hunted again on Saturday and heard 6 shots. That's with about a 60-70% increase in the number of guys out there.

No. I hung out in M in the morning and L in the evening. Didn't see anything but 3 limits of squirrels that I could have probably gotten with a hammer. [&:]

A guy from work took me with him to where he hunts with some friends. It was an interesting morning to say the least. It started with a couple owls making all kind of noise. Then we heard something squeal and the owl making noise. Later on one of the guys said the owl came down and snatched up a rabbit. Then a group of crows came in a started hassling the owls making the biggest ruckus you ever heard. I think we heard 1 shot from one of our guys, then we saw a good buck on top of the ridge but couldn't get a shot. Then a second shot from our group and was just down the ridge so we got ready and sure enough my friend says " here she comes". We both drew a bead on her. She wast trotting and finally came out of the thick stuff and stopped in the only opening there was. I rushed the shot and missed. A while later we went to double check that I had missed and we jumped 4 that were bedded down. My friend took a pop shot at the last one as they were running off and missed. Saw about a dozen turkeys. 6 out of eight of us shot and no deer on the gound. Pretty sad. The place is just so thick especially with the foliage still on the trees. A few of us went back in the afternoon, and of course I didn't expect to see anthing after all that. We jumped one as we were going in, didn't see what it was. The only thing I saw after that was the biggest fox I'd ever seen. It was fun though.

I shot a doe on private land in Frederick County last evening. I am hoping to put my son on one this Saturday, I am heading out in about 15 minutes to try again but, dang, it's cold this morning.
