if you have a map of stewart new road toward 84 side. maple ave anywhere from the middle to 207 side. pheasant hunting gets pretty crazy over there go on friday morning they usually stock thursday night.

Hey thanks for the reply. I've had success on Maple Ave, so I guess I'll concentrate my efforts there. Also, thanks for the tip on the Thursday stocking.

Hello world to all. is maple Avenue still a good place for pheasants and any idea a good area for rabbits? don't know how much luck I'll have with no dogs but want to try.

I see large calibre rifles are not allowed - probably a good thing, looks like a busy place. I assume shotgun slugs are allowed for deer?

Anyone have luck with pheasant or rabbit without a dog?

Hi everyone

I am new to hunting and am looking to get out into stewart state forest this coming weekend. I went up there a couple weekend ago and DID NOT see a single deer. However, i attribute that to me not knowing what I am doing really. I want to give it another go and was hoping for some tips/tricks as to where I should head?
