You can for sure, I hunt with a bow from start to finish unless it is rainy then I bring out the smokepole. You can only use the season appropriate tags but bow and muzlle are ok during regualr gun

In your book , Hunting & Trapping Regulations. Under General License Information on page 12. Look at Bowhunting Priviledge. Look under Priviledges: there is a Note: It starts right there and tells you that you can bowhunt during regular season.

Sproul is just bitter (as most archers are) over a ML season stuck smack dab in the middle of the PA archery season. In theory the ML season is “doe only”, but he claims that many bucks get shot with the ML & posed as an archery kill. No doubt with so many scumbag hunters in PA, he is correct.
I've seen it as well. Disgusting!

you will notice that when the early oct week is in, MOST of the big bucks killed by 12 yr OLD KIDS WILL BE THAT WEEK.

CARRYING A BOW/GUN MAKES IT EASY.

dads have to make their kids great these days, thats a dad.

but what is kid learning if dad illegally shoots a big buck and sticks arrow in it early oct season, goes home and puts kids picture in paper.

early oct season should be done away with, not because i dislike the guns in archery, i dont, because i feel that a lot of trophy bucks are being shot with a in-line and tagged as archery kill.

then home and put kids tag on it and picture to paper..

i know how hard it is to get a trophy buck, i hunt hard, day in day out.

no way a kid is going out and getting a buck like i see with bow on stateforestland.they cant even sit most of them for over 1 hr.

hey, i was kid too at one time and we were better hunters than most of kids today with only a recurve bow.

like last year, i caught a kid with crossbow out window of the chevy blazertrying to shoot my pet buck in my yard at 2 am in morning.

he saw me and said,MOVE IT, THAT OLD FART IS IN BREEZYWAY SITTING.

he had school next day too

will some one please let Sproulman come out and kill a buck so he will be happy. In all the grousing I see it's about young kids and fathers who are cheating. Never a good word about any kid or dad out their. I figure if he kills his big buck early and a quick doe same day, we are done w/ his lot in the woods and he can sit home and write what a nice day it was whenst he kilt that ol' buck out yonder! Then Sproul will be happy! Have to change his handle to Happy Sproulman? W/ a positive outlokk since he has kilt that ol' buck we would not recognize his posts and a joyous afternoon would begin. Course ats' jest me thinkin'.

i only say TRUTH.

you are right, there are NOT many good dads out there anymore hunting with kids.

sadly, the dads that ARE going by rules are ones usually that their kids are not even getting a deer,if so, those dads are ones i respect and are raising the kid to be SPORTSMAN,not learn how to FILL TAGS ILLEGALY.

this would not be happening if there was deer in better numbers.
i understand where a dad is coming from, its raining, snow blowing, wind howling, not seeing deer all day then the buck comes out to the dad, not kid.

that buck under 3 points is NOT going to be left go.

i hear dads a few years ago that said to me,SPROUL MY KID IS GOING TO SHOOT HIS DEER.
WELL, that same dad i heard shot 3 doe on 1 drive,i guess he forgot but he had kids tag along.

now, whats his kid going to learn from that.

its like the under 12 mentoured thing, you think those young girls are shooting those big bucks at 8 years old.

if you do, i got car to sell you.

i told you about dads coming in and having daughters fill out hunting lic. at wal-mart.

dad said, you girls sign this,DAUGHTER SAID,THIS IS STUPID, I AINT GOING HUNTING ANYWAY.

dad said,JUST SIGN IT...............

now, does that make you feel good that this is happening.
is this ALL dads,no, but a heck of large number of them .

do to lack of WCO,do to dcnr wanting deer dead,no one is able to control this.

then make rules like this, you cant be able to stop it.

i had solution and submitted it to PGC.i said LET ONLY KID KILL A DOE UNTIL THEY ARE 16,AFTER THAT ONLY LEGAL 3 POINT BUCK.NO KID CAN KILL A SPIKE AT 12 YEARS OLD TO 16.ONLY 3 POINT RULE in wmu2g.

NO ADULT CAN KILL A DOE IN WMU2G,ONLY KID.

this would fill woods with kids as there would be more doe for them and dads would not be using the BROWN ITS DOWN WITH A KIDS TAG.
the dads would now have to count points, no more just shooting in crews at anything that moves.

EVEN MY CLOSE FRIENDS WENT AGAINST ME ON IT.

why, because they have kids along and ARE filling freezer.

its a GREAT thing for getting a freezer full of meat but its screwing the honest, go by rule hunters with kids and older hunters and hunters that dont have time off to hunt like these MEAT fill tags freezer hunters.

i would not be saying this unless it was TRUTH.

turn on your radios and listen while hunting, you can here them calling for TAGS.

EVEN RSB THE WCOWHO I DISAGREE WITH SAID,I WAS RIDING UP ROAD AND HEARD THE CREW CALLING FOR MORE TAGS, DAD HAD 3 DOE DOWN..

he said that ,there you go, he knows its going on.

dont think for minute that i dont want to see a kid get a nice buck, i am not greedy in anyway, you dont know me.

but when i see HONEST dads there with no buck and dishonest ones using the system to get a buck, then put it in paper and daughter says, honey what did you shoot HUGEbuck with,MY DAD SAID TO TELL YOU I GOT IT WITH A WEE-O- 8.

as paul harvey said,GOOD DAY!

Ole Sproul sure does have an eventful life!

poachers in his front yard

Poachers using kids tags to kill little bucks all around him (but they're good family people)

Huge crews driving hundreds of miles to his neck of the woods just to drive out and kill the last doe and fawnwithin 15 miles

Coyotes pulling down fawns while he bass fishes

Coyotes killing adult does on his trailcam

Trees falling into the cab of his truck and then bouncing on out only to smash his bass boat

Cougars at 15 feet!

He also sees so many poaching incidents that all the PGC needs to do to cure it's financial woes is to give Sproul a badge. If he just issues finesfor half the poaching he sees, the PGC would be flush with cash.

and on and on and on....................

have to correct you .

first one, no they are not poachers, they are KIDS 12/18 USING CROSSBOWS OUT WINDOWS.

2ND,they are not poachers, they arehunters trying to fill tags

3rd, 15 eyewitnessess to coyotes killing 2 fawns on june15th at alvin bush dam, would you like to talk to them?ALL b.a.s.s members.

4th, it was 9/25 at 9pm or so,and i would guess they were after the FAWN with mother,i never said they attacked the mother,it was guess they were after fawn.
i still have pictures on my sd card but i cant get my name off it.i can mail you the pictures, interested?

locust tree falling into my truck, thats true, i was almost killed, would you like to talk to the 2 kids that stopped and took the treeoff my boatand saw damage inside my front seat with windshield gone.i was VERY lucky

cougar i saw was at 15 ft,so i guess i know what i saw.
i also had witness to that to,if you give me time, i can locate him at clearfield and he can tell story and see if you can tear him apart.

no, i only witnessed 1 poaching incident last year and blue car i could not be sure who it was,i did contact local WCO but he felt he would not stick,i could not be sure who it was but i feel ,i know.

most of things i report are what i HEAR is going on from talking to many, many camp owners and hunters coming out of woods during deer season.

last few years i have been able or LUCKY to get a buck by 8;30 am the first day, so i have a lot of time to ride around and roll window down for 2 weeks and listen to storys.

if we had more WCO do same thing i do, i assure you, they would triple their fines and possibly slowdown the BROWN ITS DOWN WITH KIDS TAG ALONG HUNTERS.

there you have it,i do agree, i am writing to long here, i have to cut it down
