Sproul is just bitter (as most archers are) over a ML season stuck smack dab in the middle of the PA archery season. In theory the ML season is “doe only”, but he claims that many bucks get shot with the ML & posed as an archery kill. No doubt with so many scumbag hunters in PA, he is correct.
I've seen it as well. Disgusting!

you will notice that when the early oct week is in, MOST of the big bucks killed by 12 yr OLD KIDS WILL BE THAT WEEK.

CARRYING A BOW/GUN MAKES IT EASY.

dads have to make their kids great these days, thats a dad.

but what is kid learning if dad illegally shoots a big buck and sticks arrow in it early oct season, goes home and puts kids picture in paper.

early oct season should be done away with, not because i dislike the guns in archery, i dont, because i feel that a lot of trophy bucks are being shot with a in-line and tagged as archery kill.

then home and put kids tag on it and picture to paper..

i know how hard it is to get a trophy buck, i hunt hard, day in day out.

no way a kid is going out and getting a buck like i see with bow on stateforestland.they cant even sit most of them for over 1 hr.

hey, i was kid too at one time and we were better hunters than most of kids today with only a recurve bow.

like last year, i caught a kid with crossbow out window of the chevy blazertrying to shoot my pet buck in my yard at 2 am in morning.

he saw me and said,MOVE IT, THAT OLD FART IS IN BREEZYWAY SITTING.

he had school next day too
