hey, your guess was right in line with mine. But unless that scale is wrong or it was weighed wrong, I can't deny it LOL

Looking forward to next year in MA.

Whats your thoughts on doe permits out there?? Perosnally, I am hoping they cut backin the zones west of the CTriverand give a chance for some of these areas to geta little higherdesnity back to them.

However...I am seeing some good habitat work in progress in zone 2...very promising...

I think they give out too many in zone 3, but not enough in 1 & 2. I see tons of doe in zones 1 & 2 (esp.), but less in 3... Maybe it's just me.
It's been hit or miss out here this season. Guys are either seeing a bunch of deer or nothing at all.

My buddy Eric took 2 hefty 8 w/ the bow in zone 1... first & second week. The first dressed out at 172 and the 2nd was 168 I believe. I think I may have posted these before.

I will try and post any other of this year's MA deer anyone I know has shot below. Just to share...

WMH...those are some real nice deer...well done.

As for does permits...I hunt allot in 2 where we have a camp and see very little deer at all, even does. In fact, at least in this cover, the overall herd has been down since the hard winter of 2003, but is getting better. (Assuming this winters isn't as hard) We won't take does here at this time, regardless of permit.

The place I hunt in Zone 1 has a decent amount of doe, but not "allot", I do apply and will use permits in this area. But I think the allocation is good, but could be reduced a little.

As for 3...too many DP's are hard on the public lands there. Private lands seem to have good amounts and could use the doe harvests.

Problem is there are many, many guys getting permits in 3 and using them in other zones.

I am glad you guys are seeing so many does. I can't say the same but its funny how things can be different from cover to cover.

But yeah, I wish all the zones west of the riverhad reduced DP's. Just my opinion. You guys seem to be seeing allot more than me though.

I tried to post a small buck i got in 2005, but the file was too large..

Try using tinypic.com to upload. That may work.

Thanks man. 115 Dressed. I think he was 1.5YO. Lots of acorns that year so they where well off.
