m open right up on their own when you open the topic but people should be able to see them any ways.
Yeah it was sat oct 27. Went to hunters breakfast and got in the woods with my friend Nick at about 7:30 or so...still hunted my way through a dry swamp and then followed a deer trail through the fur trees and after 20 mins of hunting I saw the nice buck laying underneath a tree looking away from me. It was on top of a ridge he was looking down the ridge, I came up from behind him.

Yeah, you guys did good on that one that's for sure. I just got news a guy got a big buck I have been seeing all summer or I think it is. I thought the one i saw had about 12 points but with leaves on the trees it was hard to tell. Well the one the guy got was 9 points with a 22inch spread tipping the scales at a whopping 253lbs. The place he had stated it came from he wouldn't have time to get there and back to the tagging station like he had stated so I think he got the one I have been watching earlier this year. It sure was another good one out of the great woods...

Hey Phil, the guy who shot the 253 lb hog was one of my boss's relatives. He was telling me today and told me to guess the weight and when I said 253lbs he was like how the hell did you know that. It was just a guess because you had told me that the other day but I guess that was his cousin or nephew or something. Anyways my boss's last name is Oullette which is probably the other quarter of the population up there LOL. Good luck to ya if you get out this weekened. I have tommorow friday and Saturday to hunt this week. Oh BTW do you have snow yet? Just curious because it would be good hunting if you did. Its a possibility for us on Saturday.

Ya I know 8 people who have shot greatbucks this year. Onejust under 200lbs and the rest over. And now you got that 253 lb monster in Phils area. Maybe those warm winters the last 3 yrs were good for the hunters in the state.

No, we didn't get no snow yet hereand I will most likely have only Friday afternoon to hun this week. That sucks but hopefully next week I will get a couple of days in.. I hope so anyways. The last 2 winters overhere has helped out a lot. Last year more deer was tagged in the tagging stations then from the previous 10 years.. So they have been out there just that they appear wiser right now..

Lol. Ya they can be tricky. Especially in your area where there are less per square mile. But you guys do have a good portion of the hogs up there so thats good. You should try to get down here sometime. We still got the 200lb plus bucks but we have alot more small bucks too, So you will see more bucks. Good luck to ya again.
