Default Heading to the ANF-Rut or what?

Hey, I'm heading to camp this coming weekend. Switching tactics. Gonna try for a big woods rut buck. Anyone seeing anything that way as far as activity? I'm tired of banging my head against the wall down here in 2B. The deer still think it's summer! I know they are there, but they won't move from cover during the day. Wind is driving me nuts. If anybody has seen any signs of the rut up there, share it please?
I think the season is gonna be over before they rut down here.

A few light scrapes, a few hornin's, here and there....nuthin' real exciting yet.

Same reported by Pards.....

Weather is still all screwed up, no frost yet.....rained here all day, got pretty wet this morning.

Have high hopes in the chase gettin' fired up any time now.

I'm coming up on Thursday for a Friday,Saturday hunt. I hope something is moving by then.

I had scrapes two weeks ago down here in 2B that dried up. Not being tended at all. Does and fawns still walking around together, bucks only seen at night in the headlights...

The scrapes we're seeing are small and light, made, then not hit again....like they're really not that serious yet.

Roadsome ofmy trails today on the way home. Always good scrapes scattered out on my trails, hit daily, when the ruts on heavy.

Right now, what was made 3 or5 days ago has been covered with falling leaves and not beentended, as you said.

Haven't seen a "licking branch" yet either.

It should be happening soon though........

Where areyou going in the ANF, I'm not far from the western side of it.....
