not impossible but highly improbable that that buck was shot on publicland,most likely on private or near it.
almost all big bucks i heard killed last year here in clinton countywere on privateland.
mine was exception but that buck got thru 3 seasons,which is odd on publicland.
dr.alt thing is not working, if he would have made it 3 points to side for all of us, then you would see 25 inch spread bucks.lot more nice bucks also.
this is worst year here in clinton county for deer.
almost everyone i talk to is seeing very few deer,i only saw 2 grouse so far, last year,over 15 by now.
hunters overharvested to many doe.
i have not hardly seen a fawn, not 1 this year.
last year, about 6..
i am in woods 4 days a week.
