yes it is legal. I have one and use it for coyote hunting. it's technically illegal to buy 30 rd clips now but some stores still sell them. and if you hunt w/it you need to get a 5 rd clip.

If you want high cap mags you have to buy pre ban and they are $$$$. Your best bet is buying them at a gun show.

I have a bunch of mags from when I was in the army i would like to unload. PM me if you need some.

no.... it's fine to purchase preban magazines. you can get them reasonably priced at cabelas, gander mountain, through the web, etc..

the law made it illegal to import or manufacture new ones.

thats what i thought too, i noticed the big bucks the "pre-ban " guns were commanding dropped ALOT.
