Sometimes it's just so hard to............get it right!

On Sunday hunting, I'm all for it but I think it is a political smoke screen by Rep. Ed Staback.
IMO he is holding the PGC hostage over a license fee increase and throwing out the bone of Sunday hunting to make it look like he is actually trying to do something for PGC-hunters.
The votes aren't there to get it passed and he knows that, so it is a safe, no-pass, initiative.
My list of priorites would be financial stability and then Sunday hunting.

In other action, the Board proposed increasing the fees for DMAP permits from $6 for residents and $26 for nonresidents to $10 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.
No problem. I'll pay!

Now if we could just get them to go back to the old doe season in northern PA and leave it as is in areas where deer overpopulation is a problem I think things could be really good.

Maybe the two are really one and the same.

I agree with livbucks, it could help with finances with increased license sales. I think more guys would buy licenses if they had Sunday to hunt.

I agree also. Sunday hunting would help bring financial stability.

Go to being a shotgun state...not that I am against rifle hunting... statistically shotgun states hold higher buck numbers and better (older) herd numbers. You have to agree that alot more bucks will get a chance to grow...more bucks, more draw, more revenue, better PGC finances would equal better management. From what i get from people that "used" to hunt PA is the draw is gone...

Okay everyone attack at once... but before you do...Yes I own Rifles, Yes I hunt with them, okay attack!

I'd like to see the price of a doe tag go up to $10 or $15 a tag.

I agree that going to shotguns is likely to help based on the experience of other states but it would probably be a very tough sell in PA.
