o.k. does anyone know the real deal. my buddy at work says he talked to a truck driver who has land near where a 13 point on each side deer was killed. any pic? he said this guy went on and on about a new state record and his farm was near where it was killed.

Hey liquidorange, that would be the buck shown in the thread Maryland Monster in this thread. It is well documented and the subject of severalnewspaper articles.

Talked to another guy who hunts who heard other people talking about the eastern shore buck, but still no pictures and no story!

I'm from the eastern shore, obv. from my name from kent county,and I havent heard anything. Doesnt mean there wasnt a buck of that size killed but when the state record was killed a few years ago it was big news. I really would just like to see a picture so we can put this to rest.

I'm guessing the eastern shore deer was killed with a muzzleloader and that it will unseat the current non-typical state record in that category; a deer I killed in 2001. He was only 199 3/8 so it's a wonder it has held up this long. Highly unlikely to unseat this recent shotgun non-typical giant.

Have you heard anything specific about the eastern shore buck? It was supposedly killed last Wednesday or thereabouts, so I figured it to be a shotgun kill.

i have been checking this thread for a week and havent seen a picture or a link about this deer.

Doug, No, The first I've heard of the Eastern Shore deer was right here. Some of the posts here are confusing the 13x13 deer just killed on the Western Shore in Charles County with this Eastern Shore, as of now, rumor.
