I see ribbons and tacks all the time and I could care less. How are you supposed to know how long they have been there? I also could care less if you have hunted in the same spot for 50 yrs it's first come first serve each year. I always get in extra early just for that reason. When you come walking in and see a flashlight right near where you wanted to hunt its just too bad, you should have got up earlier. Guys are always going to be jerks and it's not just the out of state guys. Don't let anybody intimidate you. You have the same rights in the woods as you have anywhere else. People aren't allowed to go around threatening you with a gun anywhere else, why is it OK in the woods?

orange ribbons fade overtime..tacks rust..tacks are illegal as loggers can get their saws caught..ribbons are illegal also..

as for first serve, no, on publicland a person that shows up at 10 am can hunt anywhere they like..

just because we are there bright and early ,does not mean we can say this is our spot and to move on..

i had guy sit 20 yds from me and i still got a huge buck this year..i waved nicely at him and he waved back at daylight..i did not get mad but when i was told by others that this was their spot, they had ribbons out, they were here first in morning,4 am they got in their stands, i was in mine at 6.30 am and it was still dark..

no one has right to tell another hunter where he can hunt even if he slept in his treestand or spot on ground over night..

first come, first serve has no place on PUBLICLAND..

I love rifle season with hunters in the woods moving the deer to me. I tolerate archery season just because I like to hunt. I'm so tired of sitting in my archery stand only to have somewannabe come sneaking into the area at prime time ..calling it "still hunting". At least when they do this in gun season i can reach out and tap the deer they push ahead of them.
IMHO rifle season should be in late October early Novemberand archerypost Christmasonly.

Well, between this thread and others here, you seem to have tried your best to offend almost everyone here with almost every post you've made. Are you not getting enough attention at home?

Won't uncle Uly play checkers with you or what?

You are right.Or after the rut and not before. This would let the bigger bucks have a chance to breed. How many are takin out of the gene pool before they get this chance? But I am sure everyone who wantslarger racked bucks would agree with this proposal. What do all you horn hunters think?Good idea to help the big buck genes roll over.

We'd also have a better gene pool if people didn't kill 7 button bucks between the 2 of them.

How do you know? The ones I shot had little bitty nobs.If it was goanna be a real trophy,I think it would of had spikes that you could see from a hundred yards. The ones I shot was just ordinary Pa. BBs nothin special to them. They could of been the offsprings of that little 9er I got last year.I am glad I took him out of the pool game.I don't know about eagle chickie BBs now.

lead poisoner, why don't you pick up a bow and learn to shoot it. My guess is your not talented enough or don't have the patience. It would make you a much better hunter and you would learn the difference between a button and a fawn doe. Now on to this statement:

Fawns carry buttons thier first year. On a very rare occaision will they ever sport spikes. Sounds like you just like to shoot fawns. When you shoot a button you remove the unknown from the gene pool. How long you been hunting anyway? Seems to me you have a lot to learn about deer and deerhunting. Just ask, we will teach you
I learned somethingjust the otherdayalthough I don't buy into itfrom someone on here about deer tracks. Your never too old to learn.
