Our zone is 3pts one side.EXCELLENTREGULATION. My BF got a petition going last year and sent it in. NJF&G was thinking about doing away with the law... I am confident all his work paid off and the state saw the cry, from all the signatures (2000,I believe),to keep it..

Now we are trying to fight off the farmer permits.. not completely.. would like the farmers to open up property to local hunters instead of slaughtering everything and throwing in a deep hole.

I haven't seen a single deer while deer hunting in Jersey the two seasons I've been hunting. Hell, this season I've only taken a single pheasant and seen a few squirrels and a doe while small game hunting. I'm scouting out a new spot up in the Assunpink in zone 15 to try when firearm reopens on the 6th... Don't have my bowhunting or muzzleloading license, and college breaks are badly timed for hunting, so that's the only day I have this season beside the 4-day doe season in zone 15 to try and shoot something. Hoping for the best...

Zone 49
Got busted on a nice 8 and a nice 7 during bow season, then passed on a 5,6, and a spike during muzzle loader.

Fort Dix with Muzzle loader, let 7 doe walk.

Going out new years day with the Encore..

Have not had a bad year in NJ. I have seen some really nice bucks this year and was fortunate enough to take one. I would like to see the state go 3pts or better and cut down on the doe kill just a bit.

2006 was good for me, I took three bucks: 6 pointer with the bow, 7 pointer with the smokepole, and a 5 pointer with the shotgun.....Alot of things need to change here in NJ, too many to list

Zone 3. Good year, saw 11 different bucks in 19 days afield in NJ, harvested a nice 10. Saw 4 bear for the one day I went out for shotgun...All in all it was a productive season. Scouted a few deer for next season that needed another year...Ditto on the coyote thing...where I am in 3 we spotted yotes on 3 different times out...
