First off let me say congrats. to every body who scored!! I nailed this 8-Pointer on opening day at 7:12 a.m. in Monroe County on public land! Not much of a story had him and another buck about the same size come walking below me!

i shot a 6 pointer at 9 am opening day. pretty small rack but nice body deer, good amount of meet. i don't know if the other hunters with us were to hungover or what but my bro wounded a buck and wound up killing a tiny doe after 7 shots throughout the day. my other buddy missed a nice buck and another guy missed a 6 and shot a doe. this was all in monroe county. my dad shot a decent 8 the second day. in carbon county my friend shot a bear. that about it.
not to much movement, the first deer i saw was the 6 i shot at 9 am. only heard like 3 or 4 shots all mornin and2 were misses. the others were on adjacent property.

I got back from Bradford county on wendesday. My 13 yr old son was the only one that got a deer. It was his second deer. He made about a 100yrd heart shot on what we thought was a doe. Turned out to be a button buck. I was still thrilled, there is nothing cooler than watching your kids get a deer. We were hunting public land near Troy. We heard a lot of shooting but were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. My cousins saw two illegal bucks a bear and a doe. I hunted Pike county yesterday and today. I jumped two doe today but those were the only deer I seen around here. This weather really sucks. Tomorrow should be almost normal. I'm taking my son out again tomorrow hopefully we'll see some deer. Just curious, I read a post by Greek Hunter that said you can only have three bullets in your gun. Where was this at? Was this a shot gun? I know you can have 5 bullets in a rifle but are rules different for shot guns? I've never hunted in a shot gun area so I was just wondering. Just so you don't think I'm stupid my Remington 760 30-06 is also called a Gamemaster.
