Zone 2 Halloween 6pt.

This 6pt buck came from behind me and across a creek at 7.50am and it was the first deer that I saw. He started rubbing a sapling on the river bank and then did a wide loop away from me. I decided to grunt and he finally stopped with his ears pricked. I grunted 3 times and he bolted to the back of my tree. I swung around and did a Bill Jordan mouth grunt to stop him. He was a little downhill and quartering away and the shot seemed real low. I got down and found the arrow coated and decided to wait 20 minutes. I didnt find blood until about 50 yards and then it was heavy. I happened to look up and away and he got up but ran about 50 feet and then laid down. I backed off and called VenisonEater and we figured it was a single lung so I waited about 45 minutes. Went back to the spot and couldnt find the deer! I started walking along the river when I noticed a deer basically submerged under a log jam. SO, I waded in and it was the buck. Had to get wet up to my waist in the cold water but it was pretty cool.
