Default REMINGTON 11-87 RIFLED BARREL CANTILEVER

I POSTED THIS IN THE GUN ROOM WITH NOT MANY RESPONES, MAY GET MORE HERE IN THE NORTHEAST SECTION SINCE ALOT OF US HUNT DEER WITH SHOTGUNS.

WHO HERE SHOOTS A 12GA., REMINGTON 11-87 RIFLED BARREL WITH CANTILEVER MOUNT, AND WHAT SLUGS WORK BEST FOR YOU IN THIS GUN?

IM ASKING BECAUSE I JUST GOT ONE, AND I KNOW ILL HAVE TO SHOT DIFFERENT SLUGS TO SEE WHICH ONE WORKS BEST. LIGHTFEILDS ALLWAYS DID WELL FOR ME IN MY OTHER RIFLED SHOTGUNS, I WILL TRY THEM AMONG OTHERS.

I bought the same gun in 1997. I topped it with a 2-7x Leopold and shoot Barnes 2 3/4 Expanders. I group well at 100 yds and it's been a great gun. It is a little heavy but well worth it.

My buddy shoots 3 inch shells but I don't think that it's really needed.

Good luck w/a great gun.

I PUT A LEOPOLD 3-9x40, I LOVE THESE SCOPES. ILL TRY LIGHTFEILDS COMMANDER IDS, WINCHESTER SUPREMS, FEDERAL/BARNES, AND THE NEW REMINGTON CORELOK SLUGS.

Can't speak for the 11-87 but thr remmington copper solids do well in my 1100 rifled barrel. 3 in group, 3 in drop at 100 yds. BTW, presently use iron sights on the thing.

I have a Browning BPS with one of the Hastings cantilevered slug barrels, and the Remington Copper Solids in 2-3/4 group very well for me.
