CT hunters

Default CT hunters

I got 23 acres of private land in colchester to hunt and i am goin to get my lic. and was wondering what area is that and what i need to do for the lic. the property is my parents and i thought i heard i get a free lic. or something like that... ANY INFO IS GOOD AND WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

hey dj im not positive what the zone is but if u go on dep ct on your search engine it will get u there im pretty sure if you are on your own property u can get a land owner permit as long as u have your certificate

OK I have the hand book right in front of me. And it states if you have 10 acrers or more the owner, spose and lineal descendants can all get a free deer permit. So it looks like your in. If you need any help harvesting them let me know. Good luck Mike

Hey DJBAD,
colchester would be area 12 if that helps you. Sounds like you have a nice spread there. I hunt mainly in NY catskill and Ad. Mt. I just mved to the area and have not done much yet besids varment hunting with dogs. I have a good one if you ever want to get out and do some coon,cyote or bobcat.
