This is from a previous post on another thread that touched upon this subjectand went unanswered. Perhaps it will recieve an answer this time.

I'm not entirely clear on this, but didn't Madl sue the agency?
I'm not sure if he won the suit as I seem to recall the case being settled out of court????
I seem to recall hearing something along the lines of $150K.

Don Madl as head of the P.G.C. poached over one hundred deer ,had P.G.C. people skin them, unreported of course,stole P.G.C. radios and the list does not end there.The man is a P.O.S. & the P.G.C. did nothing to him.

I remember a Dave Dracula or some name like that. He was In the PGC and an outdoor writer. He got caught many years ago for shooting too many deer.

But under the constitutionifthe PGCcan read and believes in the constitution.... The above are totally illegal to do without a search warrant...And I hope these powers gets takin away from the PGC or any other Ace venturi wanna be super cop agency.... They should not have this kinda of power....And under the constitution we have the right to defend with force if these are violated and be protected from prosecution for doing so...


The only real problem is the one of the public perception that we aren’t real law enforcement officers, but that too is wrong.

You all are nothing but ANIMAL COPS...law enforcement for ANIMALS... Ace Venturis... Thats all you are...Where the he lldo animal copsget the right to search without a warrant??? Your telling us animals give you more authority over police,feds,FBI.....The people would get along much better when all the PGC ,WCO acknowledges that they are nothing but ANIMAL COPS....There is no way you people should have more power over police,FBI,feds to be able to search without a warrant....I can honestly say the police and othersdo get warrants for what they do most of the time...But this are real law enforcement agencies...Can all you PGCs,and WCOs say I am an ANIMAL COP and NOT a SUPER DUPERCOP..Ace Venturis for the animal kingdom....

I have no problem with the above written law, except,(as I see it is) that the statute allows the Game Warden to do theses searches WITHOUT PROVOCATION.
Law enforcement officers must havelegitament provocation before a judge will issue a search warrent. Law enforcement must have legitament provocation before they can do a traffic stop and search of your car.
About the only thing that was left out of this statute besides provocation was a strip search.

We used to have a cabin on SGL in Pike county. One year without any reason the dirt bag Nazi Game Wardens came in our cabin without a warrant and demanded to see all of our guns. They proceded to write down the make, model and serial number of all of our guns along with all of our information. We never were told why.
Another year we were doe hunting again in Pike county. My dad shot a doe he dropped it on the third shot. Apparently a bear ran across rt 209 shortly after my dad shot. Some retard driving by reported we were shooting at the bear. We had no idea there was a bear anywhere near us. When we walked out to our trucks there were 4 wardens there all with their hand ready to draw their guns. All they would say was "Put yor guns on the truck!" Over and over again. I was 12 at the time, one of the guys with us was almost 60 we were anything but intimidating. They treated us like criminals, I'm surprised they didn't frisk all of us. Before we left that day my dad told them he hoped every F'ing deer in your SGL gets hit cars and rots along the road because we will never hunt here again! God I love my dad. These guys need to be put in their place.

Yep, that's the problem. Many of the WCOs, old and young,I have met have just that impression.That they can do searches and such for no other reason than "we think we should" (read, "we want to") and to not comply is a violation and deserving or arrest and/or citation.

Illegal. Held under the same standard as police they have no right to do so unless they have a reasonable suspicion thet a crime is in progress.

VERY Illegal. Unless you are being arrested for committing a crime they may NOT do that.
No can they do it without informing you that you are being arrested. Can't even do it if you are under suspicion for comitting a crime without a court order.

Yep, "Super Cop" attitude.
If a State or Local police officer did that with no provication they would be put under Administrative Review and probably be sitting at a desk or Suspended with Pay until the review was completed.

Dispite what RSP says, they do act unlike any other Police force.
And until the Legislature acts on it, or enough people take them to court for it (who are willing to spend the $$$$$$ to fight it all the way), they will continue to do it and make a joke out of the state doing so.
