The Governor then appointed them to the Commission pending their confirmation by 2/3 of the Senate. Yep, I see no political influence there. Don't get me wrong I completely understand your support and defense of the operations and management of the PAGC............ Dick Bodenhorn WCO, Elk County |
RE: People in suits
Yup, I am completely off base, my most humble apologies to the ever failing DNR and their staff. I don't make much money either but that is not excuse to poorly perform my duties! Every working man is under paid and overworked if you ask them. I am tired of hearing the same sad story from our government.

RE: People in suits
ORIGINAL: R.S.B. ORIGINAL: USMC PMI I second that brother! CORRUPT! All officials are, we just have a choice between the less of two evils and the winner usually is the one who spent the most money self promoting! They were interested in serving the wildlife and hunters of this state so when an opening came up in their area they interviewed for the position before a panel of the state’s top conservationists. They were then selected from all those interviewed and had their name sent over to the Governor. The Governor then appointed them to the Commission pending their confirmation by 2/3 of the Senate. They serve the wildlife and sportsmen of this state at great time and expense to themselves with little compensation beyond travel expenses. Dick Bodenhorn WCO, Elk County |

Yup, I am simple. Does this sound like a description of the down to earth guy who cares about our wildlife?

RE: People in suits
ORIGINAL: smokeman Ok,I want to serve as full time wildlife management personel....I want every kind of predator that wasn't abundant or seen rarely in Pa. shot and exterminated..(predator) Black bears included...They was on the endangered animal list, yet they came back... All stocked predators shot... Bobcats and fischers are also on the list wihout additional tags or costs.. Elk outside of elk county, shoot them.. This isn't the west and with population of people you can't have both.... If you want to hunt these animals go out west...Each state governs their own laws..I want deer now not elk in 20 years and no deer... I say lower the prices of hunting liscense to 10$ and include a doe tag with them.... We as hunters can choose this and vote for this and it has to be granted to us.. The politics are not involved in this and it can't be disputed by them.. You wanna play this game and see if it is not politcally connected??? |

I know many lawyers who are some of THE MOST educated, experienced sportsmen and women in the country. Not to boot, but the extra income they make is often dumped into charity works for kids and the outdoors. In fact, I know a group of lawyers who are outdoors-enthusiasts who paid for and created a place for terminally-ill hunters, and children with disabilities. They have the necessary equipment that allows the less fortunate to hunt, and have full facilities that cater to specific needs (ie wheelchair box blinds that can lift, shooting aids, etc). So before you open your mouth further complaining about people, don't lump them into a category. |
RE: People in suits
Iguess by "they" Sylvan you are really referring to me since I am the only one quoted. Does eveyone in Upstate New York personally attack people for expressing their views...? |

ORIGINAL: Sylvan Iguess by "they" Sylvan you are really referring to me since I am the only one quoted. Does eveyone in Upstate New York personally attack people for expressing their views...? The past has taught us not to trust lawyers and politics....= suits in this bussiness.. Lawyers are allways twisting the story to make it look like the truth when it is actually a lie....They make their money on lieing...Show me an honest lawyer and I will show you he is in poverty...98% ofLawyers and politics are all the same.... Liars and decietful to people... Do these top rank officials work for what we want, or for someone else agenda and a gain for them to climb the ladder or rub shoulders with higher ranks???? I myself rather be paying a true honest 100% sportsman to be head of PGC full time with no other job to be distracted by...His only job he would be allowed to hold was to look out for the sportsman interest while president of PGC..He wouldn't be allowed to be affiliated with any high rank officials in congress at all....The laws and bag limits would be voted on by the sportsmen not just a group of 10 to 100 people in rank...All the sportsmen who apply for hunting liscense would have a card to vote on doe season for their county every other year and sent in...I believe sportsmen would do this...This would be the most accurate way to detrmine the deer population...From the tens of thousands of hunters who are actually in the woods seeing the deer population for what it is in their county...For these so called high area of deer population areas...Give them a special lisense to harvest as many does as they want for an additional fee...When the heard comes in check...Get rid of that type of permit... This should be for all sportsmen to decide and vote on game laws in Pa. and not just a handful of people to decide what they want or think we want as sportsmens... |
RE: People in suits
That's an insane proposal. Most hunters don't have the faintest clue about the relationship between the habitat and wildlife.Decisions about the wildlife should left to the wildlife professionals not the general public that expects hunting to be easy.
I went to the Surra,Hanna meeting about saving the deer and holding the PGC hostage.I couldn't believe the stupid ideas and remarks most of the people had to say.Almost all of them wanted the commissioners to be elected and not appointed.Even the brain-dead legislatures knew this was a stupid idea. What would prevent an anti-hunter to be elected as a commissioner. There was actually a group of hunters that wanted tosell off gamelands to fund the PGC.What a bunch of morons. |
