Duck & Old snow, you two guys are the only other Delaware hunters I see regularly on this board. Good luck to both of you in the upcoming season!
Are either of you from Newcastle County? -ken

Duck you can move a little farther down near me and still be in NC County. A lot of people and I mean a lot of people from this area work in Philly, a lady up the road from me works at the Philly Post office. The big problem is Rt 1 and 95 entrance at the Christiana Mall. DE Hunter I am been on here for awhile check my membership number you'll see. Duck there are some deer that have been spotted where you are hunting , right across the road from the Ennis Farm, acouple nice bucks seen by the old guy that hunts there. I just got my deer tags in the mail yesterday for 5 deer this year, Since I am 65 I have a permanent hunt/fish/trap/ license and they send my tags in the mail. I took Rick (MdBohunter) riding with a couple F&W friends and showed him some good spots for bow hunting on state lands right up the road from the Ennis Farm , Duck if you want , someday meet me and I can show you where the F&W guys say to go and bow hunt, not far from where you are now but better prospects... They have spotted some nice deer there while working, they are in and out of those areas every day......

Yea, I'm here and looks like I will be on public land this year, we'll see how it goes.
Ron, I was in my usual public area last weekend and there was tons of sign in there. But there always is this time of year. We'll see what happens once the pressure kicks in. By the way, I have a new truck now. Had to retire the GMC and have a 06 dark green Silverado. If you see it in the parking area, swing by around 930am or half past dark depending on the time of day. I would love to get the inside scoop on all the public hot spots. Also, I think I know the old guy you are talking about who hunts across the street. Nice guy but I have some issues with him. PM me and i'll explain.
Also, my dad and I got the ladder stand up at the lease today. It was hot as balls out there. Tons of sign as usual but it always dies down once the hunting starts. Trail cam was up all week by my old wooden stand. Camera went off only once. I moved it to a place I'm planning a ground blind for dad opening day. Hopefully we'll see more movement in that area.
Only 28 days boys for bow. Practice Practice Practice!

Rick,
You might want to look into the Milford Neck WMA around Thompsonville area.2nd largest in Delaware(I believe).
Very easy for you to get to - maybe 25mins in the A.M.
Borders the Mispillion river, lots of marsh, woods,AG crops. Not alot of pressure compared to the Little Creek,Smryna Area.Alot of deer and some dandy bucks hiding here and there!

If you mean showing you around the area (Milford Neck WMA) let me know be glad to meet you down here and show you the area.
NOW is the time to scout these areas.
Other areas worth looking into are Bombay Hook (close to you)and Prime Hook(Federal ground with stands)Both have alot of deer.Only hang up is its all strictly run by the Feds.
State parks also hold some nice deer.Remember the big bruiser that was posted on MB last year shot up in state park(forgot park) in Newcastle Cnty.
If you have the time to hunt there is no shortage of prime state and fed grounds.
