National Trappers Association Regional Convention
The Maryland Fur Trappers will host the National Trappers Association Northeast Regional Convention July 7-9th, 2006 at the Charles County Fairgrounds near LaPlata, Maryland. Trapping supplies, predator calling gear, fur handling equipment and other hunting goods will all be available. Spaces are available for the Sportsman’s Flea Market where you can buy and sell hunting gear, old traps, decoys, game calls and many other outdoor collectibles.
Seminars for trapping fox, raccoon, beaver, otter and muskrat will be held as well as fur handling demonstrations. The men’s and women’s World Champion Muskrat skinners will appear on Saturday. Sean Mann Outdoors will also conduct a Waterfowl calling seminar Saturday at 11:00 am.
Throughout the event there will be a silent auction and raffles for artwork and guns. There will a live auction with items ranging from outdoor gear to artwork on Saturday night. Games for youngsters are scheduled throughout the weekend as well as trap setting contests with awards. There is plenty of camping space for tents and RV’s and food will be served.
Admission is $5.00 per adult for the weekend. Dealer buildings will be open 8:00 AM to 5 PM. Children under 12 admitted free with adult.
