Madman,
I don't know for sure but the consensus in my hunting group is the 7th to the 10th should be the best rut days to hunt. I hunt Bristol County and have been seeing scrapes now for about two weeks. I also know of a guy who shot an 8 pointer this past weekend at another location I hunt and the buck came into a scent trail he has laid down in the afternoon going to his stand. I plan to try some doe scent next time out since the bucks seem to be getting more active.

I live in NA and hunt many of the surrounding towns. I've heard the deer population in Rockland is pretty good. Do you hunt Rockland ?

I'm also in Bristol County(Swansea)and the 7th sounds about right. I've been seeing scrapes for 2 to 2 1/2 weeks now. Unfortunately, the deer I've been scouting since summer stepped in front of a truck last night. He must of been out trick or treating. Oh well, that's hunting. Good luck to you guys!

Congrats Madman, I took a 7 pointer on the 1st. He chased a doe around for 3 hours and the doe finally lead down wind of me where he caught my scent wick and came into 10 yards. You can check out the full story on the Bowhunting board under Persistence Pays Off.
