There was a one paragraph blurb hidden near the back of the news journal up here. I found it using the search function online. Type in 'deer' for the search, but like i said, it doesnt say much.

i would send a copy of this over to ted nugents organization. he likes to fight about these kinds of issues. this is ridiculous. there are hungry people out there. i only live in new jersey. i would pay to have the privilage to hunt delaware and donate the meat. its all about the money!

Duckmaster your right about tax payers having to pony up for sharp shooters. The thing that sucks is we hunters are going to have to pony up if the proposed Lic. fee chanes go thru.
The wonderful dept. wants to double the cost of Delawares hunting lic.
Of course they are trying to justify their reasons. Some of which seem like they would benefit us hunters if they ever materialize which I doubt they will. I hunted public land all my lifeand DNREC hasn't done much with wildlife areas in the past several years.
I could sit here all morning and just keep typing on the subject of our wonderful friggin wildlife dept.
Heres the link to the proposed changes and their justification. http://www.dnrec.state.de.us/fw/Fees/Hunting%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf

I would'nt mind paying more for the lic. but I know the money will not be spent on wildlife habitat improments as needed, but on such things as better access to wildlife areas by horse back riders. Who by the way don't pay a penny to use the areas and don't follow any of the rules for they areas they ride. Ok got to go, starting to go off on tangents now.

It is simply amazing for me to see opting for costly sharpshooters when you can MAKE money by allowing hunters to do the job. I hope they eventually see the light before too much wasted money is thrown at the problem!

Im sure the excuse is liablilty. These sharpshooters probably have insurance so if god forbid there is an accident, no matter how slight the chance of that is, they can foot the bill for the lawsuit. A hunter who by chance does something wrong, well, DNREC would probably get put on the lawsuit as a defendant for allowing the extended hunt.

I'm NOT defending DNREC, just guessing on what the motives probably are.

Why don't we go out this season and harvest some Doe VS moaning about what DNREC should have done.

Pissin,Moaning,Sniviling,Whining - and no viable solution!
