It is simply amazing for me to see opting for costly sharpshooters when you can MAKE money by allowing hunters to do the job
Im sure the excuse is liablilty. These sharpshooters probably have insurance so if god forbid there is an accident, no matter how slight the chance of that is, they can foot the bill for the lawsuit. A hunter who by chance does something wrong, well, DNREC would probably get put on the lawsuit as a defendant for allowing the extended hunt.
I'm NOT defending DNREC, just guessing on what the motives probably are.
