I think that I have just seen the beginning here in Burlington county. I had a small buck pass 15 yards in front of me with his nose to the ground. SO I say its just starting around here

brian, i think its heating up in wharton state forest. i'm starting to see scrapes popping up and even found one scrape with a sapling broken completely off about one foot off of the ground near one of the scrapes.

I was out the other day and the Rut is in full swing. I hunt zone 12 and the peak of the rut occurs on Nov. 12th for that area. Keep in mind that simply means half the does are bred before that day and half after. I saw bucks dragging themselves to their beds late in the morning, chasing does relentlessly and acting plain stupid. The little head has definitely taken over thinking for the big head. There's no better time than right now to be out there.

Piney, Hey neighbor!!!!!! I don't really hunt wharton but I do Lebanon state forrest. I can't wait till I am out of work tonight 11/6 because by 7am 11/7 I am off for 6 days of hunting and surf fishing. I hope to get some surf and turf. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>. I can't wait to get out there later this week and see what I can do out there. I was cruzing home from 206 and turnd onto the road for get the name of it but it is where contys farms (sp) and saw and real nice 8 or 10 point right on my left before the first house is there feeding on the sod they have there. Well good luck and take care hope you get a big one.

I am hunting just past new lisbon developmental center off of rt 72. Take care neighbor.

Hey Supermag!
Which beach do you fish from?
According to betty and nicks they've been wackin' the stripers
on Ocean beach!
This is a terrible time of year for me, as I don't know wether
to fish or hunt on weekends and each destination is about an hour
and a half away at opposite ends of the state!!!!
Good luck, Try not to track and sand into the woods!

Hey Brian, let us know how you do with your week off. There are some nice bucks in that area.
