Here in Northumberland Co., we have been seeing tracks and hunters during deer season have seen them but I haven't had any luck yet. I'd like to get a couple in the crosshairs of my 223 before spring.

I've tried a few times myself with no luck. I see tracks and sign, but no coyote.

I have seen several in Sullivan Co while trout fishing in the summer but haven't hunted them.

Some of our guys have killed them in bear season, and while calling turkey in the fall. Several have been seen while deer hunting, but shots were hard to get. Tracks are plentiful, and I saw more scat this year than ever before. They're just darn wary critters, and not very trustworthy. Most of our shootings and sightings have been in the general area of Parker Dam S.P. and eastward towards Shaggers Inn Dam.
Several years ago, my wife and I werehaving breakfast at camp one morning, and I was telling her about a big blonde 'yote I had seen out one of the windows several weeks ago, and lo, and behold, what went trotting through the yard as I was finishing the story?? Yep, a nice, dark gray one. That's the way it seems to go. Keep after them. They're around......

A huge male popped up on me on the bench I was deer hunting on a few years ago in the ANF. I popped him right back..in the neck.

Seen them, never had a shot...never really got out and tried for them...but can definitely be something to do when there is nothing else to do!
