Default News for NH hunters!

Just thought I would share this info that I got. I guess the NH conservation officers have been telling the state that we have a HUGE coyote problem here. The conservation officer told the owner at the local gun shop that they want to get more coyotes taken out and want to make an interest in the sport. But in some parts of NH coyotes can only be hunted with rimfire, shotgun or muzzleloader. So there is a hearing this week to try to get a new law passed and they are gonna try to make it so any firearm can be used anywhere! I think thats a good idea, it will let the rifle guys enjoy their rifles and it could boost sales for these "varmit rounds" (22/250 223 whatever) and thats good for the shops. If the state really thinks the coyotes are out of control then let use hunt them with the rifles that we enjoy and are familiar with. Lets hope it goes our way!!!!!

I would like that. Some of the areas I hunt a .223 or .222 would be much better than the .22 mag and while I prefer the shotgun in some areas, having a centerfire would make things a little easier in a game that is real tough.

I haven't heard anything about this hearing.
