Are you guys still seeing bucks chasing does or is the rut over? This year has really been crappy for me and my spot in Calhoun County has not produced the big bucks like I saw last year. Since I'm not seeing any bucks, I can't tell if the rut is over or not.

saw a 7 point Saturday morning that was working a scrape, just a few paws at the ground and then he left his mark. so no its not yet over but we're getting close.

this year came nice and late. the rut either didnt fully reach peak or it spread itself out longer...guess the deer were really horny this year...im going tomorrow and ill let ya know

The bucks seem to be grouping up together. Last sunday, all I seen was bucks (2-4 points 1-10 point, and a nice 12-point that is in my freezer right now). A 40 yard bow shot. Archery is allowed during gun season where I hunt (no gun hunting allowed).
