Oh, and as for the number of shots we heard, we didn't hear NEARLY as many as we did opening day last year, and the weather was so much better than it was last year, last year it was rainy and drizzly and about 40 degrees, this year we had clear skies and mid 30's, perfect weather for opening day, I was surprised at the small number of shots we heard... And Noble County is what, the second best county for number of deer harvested in a season? Hmmm... maybe they were all on our land! Ha ha!

I live in Decatur, IN..but hunt mostly up in LaGrange Co. I took a 7 pointer this morning at 730am with my new Knight Revolution. Not the biggest buck...but a buck none-the-less.

I got a big doe this morning..on the same property I got the buck saturday. Only difference was I was in a different stand 200 yards across a wheat field. I saw 2 doe running early..around 700am..I could have taken a shot when they stopped..but I let them go. An hour later..I'm looking behind me...and when I turn around and face forward...a train of 7-9 does come out of a swamp..heading right towards me! They saw me grab my gun...but weren't scared. They just changed directions..heading to my left. I made a bleat sound with my mouth..locked the train up..and dropped the big doe!
I have pics..but don't know how to upload them.
