Howdy folks,
Me and a friend will be heading to eastern ohio in jefferson county on Oct 29 thru nov 6th. Last year we hunted the 7 thru 15. Saw bucks everyday but not much chasing or cruising. I did rattle in a 140 inch buck for my friend on 1st day but action seemed to slow by the day. Was that because bucks where locked down with does? Does anyone have any opinion on best week to pic in ohio? thanks and good luck

I think your timing this year will be right on. According to D&DH magazine, the rut should be in full swing in the Midwest at the beginning of November (1st week). They say the deer should be moving really well. Bucks really chasing does. If the weather is right, that will be the time to be in the woods!!!!
