also known as Jim Edgar state parkin illinois, anyone ever bow hunt it? i know a guy in conservation that says its a good spot and he will get me all the maps and other stuff i need and tell me some secret spots just wondering if anyone has been there or hunted there, thanks

Yes i have hunted there. Lots of people, lots of deer, and lots of land to cover. Non-residents are limited during the rut and this takes some pressure off. You need to pick up a free site permit and display it in your window when your parked in the designated parking spots.

I spent 2 weeks straight there last year right before gun season along with a couple other weekends mixed in. Will hunt it a couple times this year but will be spending my 2 weeks in Iowa bowhunting since i drew a tag there.
