QUESTION ABOUT MISSOURI OUTFITTER
HAS ANYONE EVER HUNTED AT KTS HUNTS IN NORTHERN MISSOURI? MY FRIENDS AND I ARE THINKING OF BOOKING A WHITETAIL HUNT. HOW IS THIS AREA FOR DEER HUNTING? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

RE: QUESTION ABOUT MISSOURI OUTFITTER
i hunt in scotland county and there is alot of pressure put on the deer but they always manage to kill some nice deer. ypu might look into going to putnam county or macon. they seem to have more numbers of big deer checked in. Good Luck

RE: QUESTION ABOUT MISSOURI OUTFITTER
i live and hunt in north central mo. i dont think you will be disappointed
even some of the public lands around here are really good huntin for archery during the week, weekends get a little crowded. the biggest deer i have taken wasan 11pt that weighed in over 250 lbs was taken on public land. as for the outiffiter, havent heard of them, but who knows they may be just what ya need...good luck

RE: QUESTION ABOUT MISSOURI OUTFITTER
I hunt Putnam County, and Adair County both are excellent, however I beleive while the buck quality may be a little better in Putnam the doe population is crazy. I've never hunted the public land in Putnam but I've heard several good things come about, with Rebels Cove. The private land around here is generally easily accessible, as long as respect is shown, but there is also an awful lot of leased land, it's going for around $7 to $8 an acre.
I don't know what this outfitter is going to charge but I would drive around with a platt map, when I found ground, without purple on the fence posts and signs I'd look up the owner.
Or you could get ahold of the Unionville Sportsmans Club, they own several acres and each member is alotted so many acres to hunt, I believe they are under very strict management guidelines, but my ground joins them and they also have some top quality deer.
Just some ideas!

RE: QUESTION ABOUT MISSOURI OUTFITTER
Most anything N. of the MO River seems to have an edge for older, mature bucks. Lots of does as well.
I've heard of the outfitter you mention, although I have not heard any reports. Met the owner several years ago and spoke to him for a few minutes.
