There have been some excellent games thus far and this was another. Favre was playing with a thumb that had been broken earlier in the season and I would say that is why the pass was thrown the way it was. I don't think his throwing hand was healed yet and he did the best he could. I'm not a packers fan by any means but they play hard and I respect that. Sherman should have been more aggressive at the end of regulation and it wouldn't have gone to OT...

First off Turkeyhunter 15, you REALLY need to work on your grammer, punctuation, capitalization etc... Since you are only 15, you have a few more years left in school in which to do so. Take advantage of that opprotunity!

Second, you state, "He may have "more starts"...More starts then whom? Are you still comparing Harrington to Favre??? Wake up son!

Third, you state, "He tried getting the game Over be the Hero Making Lonnnnnnnng Bomb to win game"...Aside from the attrocious sentence structure this is incorrect. If you were refering to the intercepted pass which sealed the loss, yes Favre did throw it. Long bomb it was not. The situation should have never arisen where Bret had to make that throw.

Fourth, you state, "(he shoulda Quit when on Top)"...He still is on top. Don't agree?? Ask anyone who knows anything about the game!

Last, you state "So Yeah Just Remember Who Screwed Up The Team in Playoffs"...Once again, your capitalization and lack of grammer make you look like an idiot! The loss lies mainly with the coaching staff. Had they taken the easy 3 points in the first half, the game would have been in the bag. The players must also take some of the blame for poor execution, but to lay it entirely on Favre is moronic!

Couple of suggestions for you, son:

Read your post back to yourself before posting...see if it needs touching up, corrections in grammer, sentence structure etc. You point will be taken more seriously if it is at least properly constructed.

Pay a little more attention in English classes in school.

Ask your P.E. teacher to explain the game of football to you!

I would agree with this entirely and go a little further to put all the blame on the decision making and coaching staff. I'm not sure that not kicking the field goal from the goaline was a bad decision. Yes in hindsight it would've proven to be a factor, but at the time going for it on the road in a hostile enviroment if succesful would've been HUGE if they made it.
My biggest problem with that game (2 things actually)

The call on 4th and 1!!!!!!! What message are you sending?? You had a philosophy early on in the game to be aggressive. You HAVE to go for it. They make 1 yard (after running at will all day) and the game is over going to Carolina. Sherman decided to punt and rely on his D. NO good. Like Jimmy Johnson said in the pre-game. You can't play in the playoffs with "scared $" You have to go for it. especially on the road.

4th and 26 with a drop back 3 deep defense and let the seam wide open in the middle of the field without so much as a hand on the receiver off the line to jam him??????? WOW that's insane!!!

Favre is not to blame here. An ill advised pass. ummmmmmmmmmm hell yes. I would expect something like that from quincy carter. But, he had a blitz in his face and the receiver broke off his route and Favre threw where he thouhgt the receiver was going. Miscommunication and anticipation. Pin the game on Favre?? Nope. Ask yourself where you think they would have been on Sunday without Favre at QB the whole season. Probably watching the game on TV.

Hahahaha, lol, I like that Sswpriz, yes the Bears still suck, and they rate they are at, it will take them more than 10 years for a winning season, but I am hoping they never have another winning season, because all this talk about next season gets really old in IL!![>:]
