Saw some friday evening. Didn' t look sat morn and saw nothing in the howling winds of sat evening. Decided the wind would be too much for man or beast so I' m not out there looking today at all. Probably won' t make it back out till Thurs morn.[

seeing lots of doe still. 3-3:30 then again around 5:00 till dark.
Sat out today in the rain and didn' t see a thing. Packed up and started back, then I jumped a huge Buck and doe headed right to where I was sitting.[:@]
Lots of fresh scrapes, and rubs. I also heard a good fight Saturday evening. So I guess the rut is still going.

Only saw 2 does running through a pine thicket all weekend , the temps are still too high for them to move much . Imagine moving on a 70 degree day with a winter coat on and some extra body fat , kinda hard to blame them for waiting until night .

Saw 2 does Saturday morning at 10:30 and then spooked one up walking back to the house. No shots though. Was getting ready to head out Sunday afternoon when it started to drizzle, looked at the weather channel and saw a wide band of rain moving in. I decided to stay in and enjoy the John Wayne weekend showing on AMC. My neighbor went out Sunday afternoon, he' s in bed sick today. He said the wind and rain was blowing so hard, he compared it to a monsoon. Needless to say he was soaked to the bone. I wont be going out untill Thursday morning. I hope to take a nice fat doe. Wouldnt that be a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
