I thought some Yoopers would jump on and help you out. I hunt in the lower, but I' ll try to help. If you are going to hunt gun season, you should be right in the prime of the rut. If you want to try to attract bucks to you, try a grunt call. Rattlin works too, but be careful, it takes some movement to do it, and you could get busted if he sneaks in. Good Luck on the Season

hi i hunt lower too and its fri oct 17 and only in the last few days did i start to see any signs of rut. i own 120 acres and i think if the up rut is the same then rattling and non estrous doe pee will work by bed and small fields.
