Default Rifles for deer in Illinois?

As I understand it there is absolutely no rifle hunting allowed for deer in the state of Illinois. Is that 100% absolutely true or is it possibly allowed on high fence hunts?

hmm, I would have to think they would be because they follow different rules than what the IDNR puts on regular hunters. I know you can use rifles for coyotes so they are legal in some Illinois hunting. I'll never know though, I'm not one for high fence hunting.

I just did a Google search because I was interested as well, there is in fact a hunting ranch around Canton that does allow rifle hunts. So I am guessing they just do not follow the same rules because they are inside a fence with special permits.
