I was up just south of Minocqua on a private 700 acre lease and sat 5 of 9 days, only saw 3 deer. Spike, fork, and six. Definatly one of the slowest seasons as 0 out of 10 guys shot a deer. You have to take into effect that we have a pack of wolves in our lease too.....

I hunted 7 of the 9 days and only saw 13 deer on our family farm. Out of frustration I shot an 8 pointer that was barely outside the ears. I am not convinced that the deer population is as high as they saw it is. The last two years have been the worst of my 16seasons as far as seeing deer.

I've still got cameras out and will keep them out till January. After the antlerless hunt in December I will pick up the bow again and try for something. We can bait near us but don't have the need to with standing corn in food plots.

I had a terrible season. I was hunting in a new place with the property owner. He is also a hunter and has a number of folks who hunt on his land (there's enough to go around). Plenty of preseason sign around to make me optimistic
I spent 54+ hours in the woods and saw ONE deer--which was scared up by the property owner on a one man drive.
There's just too much ultra thick cover on his land for the deer to stay safe. The last day I helped with a drive after a fresh snowfall the night before. Not one of us saw fresh tracks--they were all locked down elsewhere.
We have antlerless-only season (4 days) coming up next week and I lined up a different place to hunt.

i've seen 3 doe all bow and gun season... hoping this late season is better... it has also been the worst last couple years for me too, i believe the have overestimated the heard big time, not being able to bait may have hurt, but should not have hurt that much
