Default Illinois Guys...Check your FOID

Just wanted to make sure with Shotgun Deer season and Upland game hunting less than 2 months away, make sure you check your FOID cards. Wouldn't want anyone to get ready to hunt in late October and have an expired FOID!

Wish you would've done that a couple months ago!!! Won a gun at a Whitetails Unlimited banquet & found out there that it expired in August! Sent it off but people are saying it is taking 6 weeks to get their new FOIDs back. Might mess up taking my daughter on her first youth deer hunt...

I no longer have to worry about it. I find it amusing and ironic that as an Illinois resident for most of my life I had to have a FOID. Now, as a non-resident, i don't need one as long as I have a Non-Resident hunting license. I'm a little fuzzy on whether i am actually supposed to be able to buy shotgun shells or bullets in Illinois, but I haven't had any problems so far.
