the land that I hunt on is mostly does alot of deer on it my dad who is a disabled hunter shot a big 8 pointer last year on it he saw the buck traveling with three other bucks also he couldnt get a clear look at any of the does he seen but he said he seen a bunch. I talked to my cousin who owns the land and he has seen alot of does this year but more bucks than he has ever seen before.

lungbuster12point06 - Without argument, bear and wolves have some impact on deer populations. Especially in the fawn population. Deep winter snows of course are an advantage to the wolves hunting deer. But I really think the herd around me was decimated when it was earn a buck, and all the extra doe tags that were spread out there for so many years.

My area was once a place where does and buck were seen frequently. Now when we spot a deer even crossing the road, they are of great interest. Now I am not saying there are no deer anywhere in Northern Wisconsin. I am sure there are pockets where deer are plentiful. And then there are pockets where deer are very limited. Just around my house, they are limited.

We have'nt seen many fawns at all this year. The one's we have seen were singles. Again as cayugad said the EAB and over hunting as well as the winter has taken its toll on the deer population in our area. We also have seen Wolves in our area this year for the first time.
