lungbuster12point06 - Without argument, bear and wolves have some impact on deer populations. Especially in the fawn population. Deep winter snows of course are an advantage to the wolves hunting deer. But I really think the herd around me was decimated when it was earn a buck, and all the extra doe tags that were spread out there for so many years.
My area was once a place where does and buck were seen frequently. Now when we spot a deer even crossing the road, they are of great interest. Now I am not saying there are no deer anywhere in Northern Wisconsin. I am sure there are pockets where deer are plentiful. And then there are pockets where deer are very limited. Just around my house, they are limited.
