I wish. Lived in TRF, MN for several years, took trips out to Dickenson areafor pheasant, duck, goose. Traveled other places with my wrestling team. Two regrets: Never fished Devils Lake for perch (although we were able to catch jumbo's on Lake of the Woods) and didn't try to deer hunt.

FYI just read a book by Chuck Klosterman (from ND) called Down Town Owl about a (fictious)town near Jamestown/Valley City. Good book, quick read. Entails some true stories of the area like the blizzard of '84. Check it out.

Does the very northwest corner of South Dakota do anything for you?

Are you talking like down in the Bowman area. I am not sure there is much public land down there. Best bet for public land is the badlands over in the Grassy Butte area and thereyou may even get a shot on a Mt. Lion.

220DarylSwift,

Is it all on the menu? I love everything, and am a absolute Whitetail nut. However Mule deer have been really keeping me awake at night. Were gonna have to work something out!
