Default Illinois Question

Guys/Gals,
I will be coming to Illinois on Friday to hunt with Illinois Connection for a week and was just wondering what I should be expecting? I have seen the website with the pictures and stuff but was just wondering how the service and guides were? Anyone ever hunted with them? What is the habitat like?
I am really looking forward to spending some time in the stand in your state and I feel like we are hitting it at nearly the perfect time. Almost no moon and the bucksshould begetting frisky.
Just been dreaming about this week for a couple years and now it is finally here. Any information you have will truly be appreciated.

Well you've picked a pretty good time to hunt. I believe the deer are just beginning to go into pre-rut. Pike, Brown and Schuyler counties are the best to hunt trophy deer. The weather should be 50's +/- during the day and 30's to 40's at night. Lots of rolling hills, some bluffs near the rivers and lots of timber. Trees are still pretty leafy so it's thick. I've never hunted with them so I can't advise on that. Good luck.

its actually supposed to be warming up by next weekend, but early mornings and right before dark should be pretty good. Yes, the new moon will help alot imo, I hate full moons myself. And the deer are starting to go crazy right now. Good luck.

should be good. We have 3000 acres in Brown, and Schuyler counties, and Doug from Illinois leases some land from us for bow hunting only, I'll be out there Saturday night, and out on Sunday morning

Well HNI Christine and I just got back last Saturday from Hunting at Hunting Unlimited Inc the property next door to Illinois Connection.
The Smaller bucks are chaseing the Does a bit.
Buck Necks are swollen..... Scrapes and Rubs are all over the place.....1st evening bowhuntI had a 160 inch buck at 60 or so yards with 40 minutes of shooting light left.
Everything else we saw was 140 or smaller.
It looks like things there are starting to get really good
Christine got her biggest buck so far there last Thursday
I was waiting ona 160 inch buck or better But since the bucks didnt cooperate I did a little Doe reduction.

Thanks for the pictures and updates. They do charge alot, but this is a once in a lifetime type deal. May as well go to a proven area if you are going to pay alot of money.
