Writing a paper on Deer Management in Michigan [:'(].

Need some references to other deer management states.

How many does per year can you take in Iowa or Illinois. I am meaning the most possible. If it is a tag a day, or earn-a-buck, type of outfit.

Thanks in advance, anything else you think I should add feel free.

In Illinois we're aloowed to take 2 antlered deer a year, regardless of weapon. If I hunt all the firearms seasons and bowhunt, I can only shoot 2 bucks per season. Does, or antlerless (if a buck has nubs or buttons, or antlers less than 3" long, it counts as antlerless) we can shoot as many as we want to buy tags for. Unlimited.

Sorry that's all I know that may help you. Good luck on your paper.

Bowman15 is correct. The most you could take with shotgun is 3 if I'm not mistaken. You can buy as many bow tags as you want as long as you don't harvest more than 2 bucks...

I thought you could only take 1 buck with a gun, or 2 with a bow or 1 with each weaponin IL? And as many Antlerless only you wanted, don't think there is a limit of 3.

2 bucks only reguardless of your choice of weapon...Be it 2 with shotgun or 2 with the bow or 1 with bow and 1 with shotgun...buck limit is still 2 for the season...Does you can shoot all you want as long as you buy the tags for them...heck if your in a good spot and you have 5 tags you can shoot 5 in one day...

Illinois..2 bucks....Unlimited Does
