Is it true that you fill out an IL firearms application for a particular county? If so, how do you handle a situation where you have land in two adjoining counties? Or as in my situation one tract is in two counties?
Thanks!

Not exactly sure how the law works, but I'm quite certain a tag is only valid for 1 county, and not 1 property....so therefore you can only hunt 1 half legally. I'm assuming this isn't the first time this has occurred....and dnr knows that, but if you hunting way into 1 county with another county's tag you'll be in some real trouble, but bordlines.....i wouldn't worry so much. Though this sounds like a techniquality, I'd call the DNR and ask, then let the rest of us know....

I pick my hotest spot(county) for a full season firearm. Then I put in for a muzzleloader seasonpermit for the other county. You can only hunt 1st season in your 1st choice but you will be able to use your muzzleloader tag 2nd season and hunt both counties. Muzzleloader season which is a couple weeks after second gun has been really good the last couple years. We have beentaking alot of nice deer during muzzy.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think there is some type of exception for this situation. I think you are allows to overlap a little as long as it's the same property.
...Not MULTIPLE properties, but propertiesDIVIDED by county line.
