Default KS public turkey ground

hey guys I am trying to plan a spring turkey trip next year to KS and chase rios for the first time. I have found a couple of public areas Wilson, Webster, Glen Elder, and Jamestown Wildlife Areas and was wondering if anybody knew any info on them or if there are even any birds their. Or if I am way off if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks guys
MC

I live in wilson and there is a ton of public land here with alot of turkeys. This year the population is down, we had terrible flooding last summer and the birds didnt do to well, and the KDWP officer told me that they had a bad die off. If I was you I would look in Greenwood county, (2nd) largest county in Kansas 820sq. miles. and a ton of walk in land around the Fall River lake area. And then my second area would be woodson county excellant for turkeys, plenty of land. there are also some cabins to stay in that is between the 2 that are like 40$/night i believe. hope this helps...
