Indiana Angler Question
#1
Got a couplequick questions for some of you Indiana anglers. I'm from NE Indiana and do all of my fishing up here, but don't fear to add your 2 cents if you represent the southern half of our state. [8D]
* Any of you guys do tournements?
* What kind of boat do you have?
* Favorite lakes?
Also, anyone know of a good rod repair place in NE Indiana? I have a couple rods with the tips broken off, that if fixed would be great backups.

I did a little bit a few years ago. I think the competition took out some of the fun, plus work and hunting gotin the way, so I gave it up. I just like going out.
The boat doesn't win the tournament, the fish do. If you know what you are doing, you can win from any boat. I've seen $200 boats smoke a field of $30,000 bass boats. I would not put too much thought into the boat unless you have the cash to spend or you are going to be in the boat enough time to justify spending alot. You can also enter tournaments as a non-boater and get paired up with some one who has a boat. I am unsure exactly how they work.
Lake Monroe was nice to me. I got a 6.99 lb bass that won me the tournament against 38 other people. Indiana lakes are not noted for being all that great.

Pat a good tournament trail if you lik ethat kind of thing is the Fishers of Men. They fish only Saturdays. www.fomnntt.com
I don't have my own boat anymore.
My fav northern lake would be (Barely North) Morse in Noblesville- very under rated bass lake, Monroe for size and two all time favorite places to fish are West Boggs in Lagootee and The Ohio river>
